THE SEASON TWO COLLECTION

Why FRUITION? Well, because Fruition is the realization or fulfillment of a plan or project. A wise man once said, “it’s crazy and it’s delusional before it comes into fruition” just in case you were wondering, that wise man happens to be Kanye West. The Breunoxr brand chooses to use chapters to separate each season distinctively, this happens to be is the second season from Breunoxr .

In what started out as an experiment with Paint On Fabric, from one piece birthed five, five became twenty five, twenty five to fifty pieces, and just like that the second collection, FRUITION, was complete. One of main objectives for the second season was to make a statement and create a completely different vibe and feeling from what the first collection, THE INCEPTION, brought to the market. The idea of Paint On Fabric was inspired by the trendy 70’s embroidered denim jackets, on my train ride through the Bronx while I was going fabric shopping in Manhattan. If you remember this trend was later on picked up by the New York youth street gangs to symbolize and represent where they came from and which group they were affiliated.

The FRUITION Collection is so special and dear to me because it was created and inspired when I was going through the toughest time in my life. I had just launched my first collection, THE INCEPTION, and I had to create a new season collection with a different vibe to show brand progression, but I did not have the money to do that. So, I looked through my wardrobe and picked out some of my favorite clothes and pieces and started painting on them. The idea was to give the clothes a new life and direction by make them art pieces. The collection you are seeing now is an idea and representation of what the second collection would look like if the money was there to be made. The collection is made of one-off sample pieces being sold as collectible items. A physical glimpse into how chapter 3 is going to look like.

To make the collection even more interesting is that, it made its first runway appearance along with pieces from The Inception Collection at the UCONN Black Student Union Fashion Show in 2017 which was also Breunoxr’s runway debut for the first time ever. A year later, Breunoxr was re-launched at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, in which it received a massive reception and reaction from the Melbourne market.

This collection is special for the Breunoxr family as this is the season that put the brand on the scene. Moving the operations from the United States to the land of down under Melbourne, Australia.
